Data Collection

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when using our services. This includes: assessment inputs (age range, education level, IELTS/English scores, work experience, province of residence, language preference), email address (required for communication), phone number (optional), budget range (optional), spouse/family status, and UTM tracking parameters from marketing campaigns. We collect this information to provide personalized TCF/TEF exam preparation recommendations and to communicate with you about our programs.

Data Storage & Security

Your personal data is stored securely using Supabase, a SOC 2 Type II compliant cloud database platform. All data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption and encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2+. Our database is hosted in Canada to comply with Canadian data residency preferences. We implement Row-Level Security (RLS) policies to ensure users can only access their own data. Administrative access is restricted to authorized personnel only.

Data Sharing (Third Parties)

We share your data only with the following service providers, strictly for the purpose of delivering our services: • Supabase — Database hosting and authentication • Stripe — Payment processing (when you make a purchase) • Cal.com — Scheduling and booking discovery calls • Resend — Transactional email delivery We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers. Each third-party provider has their own privacy policy governing their handling of your data.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Assessment data is retained for 24 months from the date of submission. Student records are retained for the duration of your enrollment plus 12 months. Payment records are retained as required by Canadian tax law (typically 7 years). You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Your Rights below).

Your Rights (PIPEDA & Quebec Law 25)

Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Quebec’s Law 25 (Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector), you have the following rights: • Right to Access — You can request a copy of all personal data we hold about you. • Right to Rectification — You can request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data. • Right to Erasure — You can request deletion of your personal data. We will comply within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements. • Right to Withdraw Consent — You can withdraw consent for data processing at any time. • Right to Data Portability — You can request your data in a structured, machine-readable format. Cookies

We use a single first-party cookie (lamia_cookie_consent) to remember your cookie consent preference. This cookie is essential for respecting your privacy choices and does not track your browsing behavior. If you accept cookies, we may use analytics and marketing cookies in the future to improve our services and measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clearing your browser cookies and revisiting our site. No third-party tracking cookies are set until you explicitly accept cookies via our consent banner.
